Flyers fan here. Would hate to see him leave, he has been a great leader on & off the ice. But this is the reality of the sport - very few finish their careers with the draft organizations. His current contract is reasonable for another team to take on, & his age / dependability / health / skill level are very good. The Flyers need youth, speed, & scorers with high upsides in this re-build. His trade value may never be higher than now, & by the time they are back in contention his career will be winding down.

Samberg won't be doing the Jets any " favor" on his next deal. People have forgotten that he had refused to sign here in Winnipeg. Instead, he planned on playing out his last 2 years at college to become an UFA. But then Covid hit & he found himself starring at no college hockey or an NHL contract with a guaranteed $300k signing bonus. So he'll either ask for the moon or file for arbitration this summer. If he does go to arbitration & accepts a 1 year contract he'll be an UFA at the end of 2025-26.

I dont think samberg and vilardi are ahving career years because theyre contract are up. I think theyre just good ass hockey players. Vilardi is finally healthy so we get to see a whole year of vilardi(hopefully). And samberg moved up to the 2nd pair so he just plays more.

Laughton value can't be captured with just stats. He is amazing leader & I really think whoever gets him goes to Stanley Cup. Flyers were offered 1st round pick for him previously and Flyers said no because he is so important of player. Flyers already have alot of draft picks so I think they will be looking for young (under 25) center who has upside.

Impressive knowledge of the team and their prospect pool fellas. I'm also very optimistic about the future and hope they can turn all these great prospects and players into playoff success.

Danila Yurov will play wing in the NHL if he can't get his FO% up. He has done better in the KHL this season, but he has never been at or above 50%.
